About the position

As a Machine Learning Scientist - Natural Language Processing (NLP) - Senior Associate at JPMorgan Chase, you will leverage advanced machine learning techniques to address complex challenges within the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO). This role emphasizes collaboration across various teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that align with the firm's commercial objectives, utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.

Responsibilities

• Research and explore new machine learning methods through independent study and participation in knowledge sharing communities.
• Develop state-of-the-art machine learning models for real-world applications, including NLP, speech recognition, and recommendation systems.
• Collaborate with partner teams such as Business, Technology, and Compliance to deploy solutions into production.
• Drive firm-wide initiatives by creating large-scale frameworks to enhance the application of machine learning models across the business.

Requirements

• PhD in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Optimization, or Data Science) or an MS with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Solid background in NLP or speech recognition, with hands-on experience in machine learning and deep learning methods.
• Extensive experience with machine learning and deep learning toolkits such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, and Pandas.
• Ability to design experiments and training frameworks, and evaluate model performance metrics.
