About the position

As a Senior Associate Machine Learning Scientist specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP), you will tackle complex challenges that can significantly impact the bank's operations. This role involves applying advanced machine learning techniques to various tasks, including NLP, speech analytics, and recommendation systems, while collaborating with multiple teams to deploy solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Research and explore new machine learning methods through independent study and participation in the knowledge sharing community.
• Develop state-of-the-art machine learning models to solve real-world problems, focusing on NLP, speech recognition, and recommendation systems.
• Collaborate with partner teams such as Business, Technology, and Compliance to deploy machine learning solutions into production.
• Drive firm-wide initiatives by developing large-scale frameworks to accelerate the application of machine learning models across different business areas.

Requirements

• PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics) or an MS with at least 3 years of industry or research experience.
• Solid background in NLP or speech recognition and analytics, with hands-on experience in machine learning and deep learning methods.
• Extensive experience with machine learning and deep learning toolkits (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas).
• Ability to design experiments and training frameworks, and evaluate metrics for model performance aligned with business goals.
• Experience with big data and scalable model training, along with strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
