Responsibilities

• Develop advanced machine learning algorithms for image analysis in digital pathology, focusing on accuracy and efficiency in diagnostics.
• Implement and optimize computer vision and image processing techniques, ensuring robust performance on large-scale medical datasets.
• Design and manage scalable cloud-based infrastructures to support machine learning workflows, emphasizing data security and compliance.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including biologists and clinicians, to understand requirements and integrate feedback into system design.
• Lead the development of user-friendly interfaces and tools to enable non-technical users to leverage AI-driven image analysis in their workflows.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in machine learning, computer vision, and cloud computing, integrating cutting-edge techniques into our solutions.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

Requirements

• Graduate degree (Master's, Ph.D., or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, with a strong emphasis on machine learning.
• Minimum of four years of professional experience in machine learning, with a significant portion dedicated to computer vision and image processing.
• Expertise in cloud computing platforms such as Google Vertex AI, Amazon SageMaker, or Azure ML, with a track record of deploying and managing ML models in either of these environments.
• In-depth knowledge of ML frameworks (such as TensorFlow, PyTorch) and proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java or R (mainly Python).
• Minimum of three+ years of relevant professional experience in an industry or core lab setting using image analysis software.
• Experience in developing user interfaces for complex ML systems, with a focus on usability and accessibility.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of driving projects.
• Familiarity with the regulatory and ethical considerations in medical data processing and AI applications in healthcare.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
