About the position

The Machine Learning Scientist at Comcast is responsible for developing and deploying machine learning algorithms to enhance products and applications. This role involves evaluating the accuracy and functionality of these algorithms, translating application requirements into machine learning problem statements, and collaborating with senior researchers. The position requires moderate guidance and focuses on innovation and problem-solving within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the implementation, refinement, and validation of machine learning algorithms for products and applications.
• Trains machine learning models, validates their accuracy, and deploys validated models into production.
• Designs and develops data pipelines for data ingest, validation, cleaning, and monitoring.
• Researches, writes, and edits documentation and technical requirements, including evaluation plans and reports.
• Creates patents, APIs, and other intellectual property for the company.
• Tests and evaluates solutions from internal and external partners and vendors.
• Designs proof of concept solutions to support future product development.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
• Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in leadership and business analytics.
• Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Strong data storytelling skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools.
