About The Position
The Zelis Data Intelligence (ZDI) Business Unit is seeking a talented Machine Learning Software Engineer fluent in Rust, with a strong background in Machine Learning engineering. This role involves building and maintaining software that ingests, parses, processes, and serves large datasets using advanced technologies such as SIMD, Apache Arrow, Apache Data Fusion, and Polars. Rust is a core component of our machine learning operations, and the ideal candidate will have experience in the creation, understanding, and deployment of machine learning models and large language models (LLMs). As part of our mission to simplify complex healthcare data sets, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of numerous microservices that contribute to the overall system architecture. This role requires a disciplined approach to writing readable and maintainable code, supported by appropriate testing practices. We prioritize candidates with a solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals and a desire to contribute to the development of a robust machine learning platform.
