About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Machine Learning Solutions Architect to support our Intelligence Community customers in the Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington, DC area. This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen and must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security-related requirements. In this role, you will be instrumental in helping the Intelligence Community leverage massive amounts of data to develop Machine Learning (ML) and generative AI solutions. You will have the opportunity to learn from various enterprise use cases of AWS ML and generative AI, and be a key part of Amazon, a company that has been investing in Machine Learning for decades and is pioneering the world's AI technology. At AWS, we are assisting the federal government in building and utilizing AI on the AWS Cloud, applying predictive technology to large volumes of data across a wide spectrum of problems. As a Machine Learning Specialist Solutions Architect (SA), you will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designing machine learning and generative AI solutions that leverage AWS services to automate solutions and reduce costs for customers. You will collaborate closely with other Specialist SAs to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive the adoption of AWS for ML/AI platforms. Your role will involve interacting with other SAs in the field, providing guidance on customer engagements, and developing white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to help customers and partners fully leverage ML/AI on AWS. Additionally, you will create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to assist them in integrating AWS ML solutions into customer architectures. To succeed in this position, you must possess deep technical experience with technologies related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, or generative AI. A strong background in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or technology is preferred, along with experience in architecting enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions. Familiarity with the ecosystem of software vendors in the AI/ML space, including Natural Language Processing (NLP), classification modeling, unsupervised learning, generative AI, and image recognition, is essential. You should also be comfortable operating in Python data science environments and be able to leverage this knowledge to assist AWS customers in their software selection process. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and possess a high level of technical expertise, with the ability to impress AWS customers at all levels, from executives to developers. While previous experience with AWS is desired, it is not mandatory if you have experience building large-scale solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior engineers at customers, partners, and AWS service teams, influencing their roadmaps and driving innovation. If you are passionate about innovating, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to work on the cutting edge of technology, we would love to have you on our team.
