About the position

The Machine Maintenance Technician at CS Wind America is responsible for servicing and maintaining production machinery in an industrial environment. The role requires minimal oversight and emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficiency in handling major equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment by following all safety protocols and performing routine housekeeping and workplace organization.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair production machinery and equipment.
  • Support production in connection with any technical issues.
  • Identify, request and periodically order parts needed to maintain equipment operation.
  • Give technical support in connection with installing new equipment.
  • Direct/train Entry and Intermediate level Techs on proper maintenance practices.
  • Effectively work through the use of the EAM system.
  • Operate material handling equipment, overhead cranes and rigging to safely accomplish tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with Technicians, Team Leads and Lead Coordinators regarding machinery repair needs.
  • Work with and direct contractors to meet equipment/company support needs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering related discipline
  • 2 years of work experience in a similar role or 5 years of relevant experience
  • Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program in heavy industry preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical documents
  • Strong technical abilities with mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Proficiency with the EAM system or equivalent work order system
  • Must pass pre-employment Reading, Math, and Locating Information Assessment
  • Able to speak, read and understand English
