About the position

The Machine Operator position at Black Cat Wear Parts involves operating various manufacturing equipment to produce quality wear parts for the construction industry. This role is specifically for the 2nd shift, requiring candidates to work from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am, Monday through Thursday. Training is provided for candidates with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate various manufacturing equipment daily to produce blades.
• Set up and verify production parts for each new run.
• Maintain a safe work environment around equipment.
• Produce quality parts in a safe and efficient manner.
• Change tooling as required.
• Layout parts to check dimensions.
• Ensure equipment is running as intended.
• Monitor machine operation.
• Detect problems with equipment using senses of hearing, vision, and smell.
• Write basic programs and modify programs in response to problems.
• Perform all General Labor positions in addition to job functions listed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Mechanical knowledge
• Experience with sawing, calipers, and micrometers
• Entry-level CNC operation experience preferred
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Safety and quality conscious
• Quick learner
