About the position
The Machine Operator Assistant position at Aerotek involves training to operate various printing machinery in a fast-paced environment. The role includes one-on-one training on equipment such as laminators, brake presses, and slitters, with responsibilities starting from material handling to data entry based on production. The position transitions from a day shift to a second shift upon completion of training.
Responsibilities
- Assist in operating various printing machinery under the guidance of experienced operators.
- Gather and prepare correct materials for production processes.
- Load and unload machinery as required.
- Enter production data into a computer system accurately.
- Collaborate with machine operators to learn the operation of each machine.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new machinery and processes.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Background in the paper or printing industry.
- Previous experience in machine operating.
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills.
