About the position

The Press Operator Trainee position is an entry-level role within the printing industry, designed to provide hands-on training in operating various printing machinery. The trainee will learn to operate machines such as a laminator, brake press, and slitter, while working in a fast-paced environment. The role involves gathering materials, loading and unloading machinery, and entering production data into a computer. The position transitions from a day shift during training to a second shift upon completion.

Responsibilities

• Receive one-on-one training on various printing machinery including laminator, brake press, and slitter machines.
• Gather correct materials for production processes.
• Load and unload machinery as part of the operational workflow.
• Enter production data into a computer system accurately.
• Collaborate with machine operators to learn the operation of each machine.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new machinery and processes.

• Experience using hand and power tools.
