About the position

The Machine Operator position at Lakeshirts involves operating screenprint and embroidery machines to produce high-quality garments. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards while ensuring that production goals are met. Operators will be responsible for setting up machines, verifying garment quality, and performing quality control tasks under the supervision of department leads.

Responsibilities

• Operate and unload screenprint and embroidery machines.
• Analyze orders to confirm design, ink colors, and placement.
• Set up and operate screenprint machine, adjusting rotation, speed, pressure, and registration.
• Change and clean screens and ink for specific orders.
• Unload shirts from the platen and verify quality of clothing and ink design.
• Follow company standards and work to achieve department goals.
• Identify and resolve safety issues in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience in production or sewing preferred but not required.
• Ability to work well in a team and take direction.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for several hours.
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours a day.
• Tablet or computer experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous production experience preferred.
• Microsoft Word, Doc, and Excel experience preferred.
