About the position

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Machine Operator Fabricator in Worcester, MA. This full-time role focuses on the Electrical Sector, particularly in Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure for various segments including Utilities, Hospitals, Data Centers, and Commercial Institutions. The position involves operating multiple mechanical and hydraulic machines to fabricate components for product assemblies, ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate multiple mechanical or hydraulic brakes, presses, shears, turret punch presses, grinders, and spot welders.
• Maintain necessary records for all operations including first piece inspection and safety start-up.
• Monitor equipment conditions and perform basic preventative maintenance.
• Check completed parts to ensure compliance with Worcester Plant Quality standards and make necessary adjustments to meet quality goals.
• Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Adhere to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions.
• Assist team in achieving plant and department goals.
• Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement.
• Foster an environment that promotes Eaton's goals and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in fabrication of machine operation in a light to medium industrial manufacturing environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to read and understand formal, informal drawings, and/or engineering drawings.
• Basic computer knowledge of Windows based operating systems and programs.
