Machine Operator I - HAAS - Nights

About the position

The position involves setting up and operating precision production equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role requires adherence to safety and quality procedures while performing various tasks related to the production of electronic components. The operator will work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure efficient production processes and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety, quality procedures, and work instructions.
• Set-up, changeover, and operate primary and secondary manufacturing machines within a work cell.
• Conduct daily and operator preventative maintenance on work equipment.
• Monitor and control quality of production pieces through adjustment of machines or tooling.
• Perform a variety of tasks, following sets of written procedures.
• Exchange information with other persons including providing answers and explaining procedures.
• Perform routine production tasks under the close direction of the Supervisor and/or lead person.
• Monitor work visually and dimensionally referring to blueprints, engineering specifications, and job instruction sheets.
• Maintain housekeeping in the work area.
• Perform other related duties as directed by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Minimum of six months of experience in manufacturing is desired.
• Reading, writing and communicating in English is required.
• Ability to perform routine computer data entry and queries is required.
• Knowledge of basic computer operations is required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals is required.
• Ability to speak effectively with co-workers and engineering and management staff is required.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure is required.
• Good manufacturing skills including good hand-eye coordination and close visual attention are required.
• Good understanding of various machine set-up and equipment operations is required.
• Ability to measure parts using precision measuring equipment is required.
