About the position

The Machine Operator II position is a full-time role focused on operating machinery in a manufacturing environment while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The operator will work a day shift schedule, performing various tasks including equipment inspection, machine operation, quality control, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safety First, Safety Always, and meet or exceed Quality expectations.
• Inspect equipment to be utilized prior to shift start.
• Operate machinery to manufacturer's specifications, meeting time budgets for finished product.
• Control and adjust machine settings as required.
• Perform Quality Control by visually inspecting product for defects prior to conveyance.
• Report defects to Supervisor.
• Follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report issues to Supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstation and machine(s) utilized.

Requirements

• Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, humidity, cold).
• Skilled in working with computer-operated and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to safely lift/move up to 60 lbs.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools.
• Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members to accomplish departmental goals and to improve operations.
