About the position

The Machine Operator position at 8th Avenue Food & Provisions involves operating packaging machinery for pasta production during the night shift. The role is crucial for ensuring product quality and safety while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The operator will work collaboratively with team members to maintain an efficient and positive work environment, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure compliance with production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging machinery in a safe and productive manner.
• Inspect product and packaging material for acceptable quality standards and report deviations.
• Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Plant safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with all teams within the plant to facilitate an efficient work environment.
• Make timely packaging and equipment changes and repairs as per production schedules.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment in the General Packaging area, including Willets, Checkweighers, and Metal Detectors.
• Communicate equipment/product problems to the Coordinator/Manager during shift operations.
• Initiate cleaning tasks throughout the plant and complete cleaning checklists.
• Report any incidents that may compromise product quality or safety.
