Responsibilities

• Run printing presses efficiently and safely.
• Ensure overall quality of printed sheets by selecting random samples for inspection.
• Determine causes of printing problems and adjust the press accordingly.
• Maintain written records of production, quality, and time management.
• Perform duties of second pressman or feeder as needed to keep the press running.
• Assist in press make-ready for new printing jobs.
• Participate in monthly cleaning and maintenance of the press.

Requirements

• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical/technical aptitude required.
• Entry-level computer skills necessary.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English; basic math skills required.
• Working knowledge of printing press operations is preferred.
• Experience as a Feeder/Operator and Second Pressman is necessary.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
