The Machine Operator role at Aerotek involves setting up and operating CNC Press Brake machines for sheet metal fabrication. Set up and operate CNC Press Brake (Amada, Cincinnati, Trumpf).
Perform sheet metal fabrication, including forming and bending of sheet metal.
Operate punch press, shear, and laser machines.
Ensure accurate production by reading and understanding specification sheets, blueprints, and work orders.
Layout and load materials using basic math and handheld measuring tools.
Utilize computer output from CAD/CAM systems.
Enter instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.
Set up mills and lathes.
Maintain the machines in good working order.
Follow re-work procedures when necessary.
Understand and ensure finished product characteristics.
Adhere to lock out/tag out procedures for safety.

3+ years of manufacturing experience in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.
Experience in metalworking or hollow metal fabrication preferred.
Experience with CNC manufacturing equipment preferred.
Skillful with manufacturing equipment, basic power tools, and machinery.
Ability to read and understand specification sheets, blueprints, and work orders.
Proficiency in layout and loading materials using basic math and measuring tools.
Ability to utilize computer output from CAD/CAM systems.
Capability to enter instructions and set up tools and machines accurately.
Knowledge of machine maintenance and re-work procedures.
Understanding of finished product characteristics.
Familiarity with lock out/tag out safety procedures.

Dexterity with manufacturing equipment and basic power tools.
Ability to set up and operate various machines including mills and lathes.
