About the position

Exegistics is seeking several Test Material Processing (TMP) Machine Operators to join their team in Cudahy, WI. This role involves operating CNC machines and preparing test samples for metallurgical testing, contributing to the company's production and quality goals. The position requires working on weekends, with training provided during the weekdays. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to prepare test samples for metallurgical testing.
• Perform metallurgical tests such as tensile and creep testing.
• Prepare material layout for proper testing by sectioning off test material.
• Position material for grinding, threading, polishing, and redlining of test specimens.
• Manipulate and position etch samples for sawing, shaping, milling, and surface grinding.
• Produce test specimens through hot working operations with the Hot Compression Tester.
• Store, scrap, and dispose of production-related test material.
• Perform experimental Heat Treat Operations.
• Pick-up and deliver test material.

Requirements

• At least one year of manufacturing experience.
• Experience running manufacturing equipment such as lathes and saws.
• Experience using measuring tools.

Nice-to-haves

• High school diploma or equivalent, Vo-Tech certificate, or Associate degree in electrical, mechanical, or related field.
• At least six months of CNC Machine Operation experience.
• Lean and continuous improvement experience.
