About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.
• 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with equipment.
• Knowledge of packaging equipment and processes, as well as quality control principles.
• Root cause and problem-solving skills highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment, ensuring proper setup and maintenance.
• Perform changeovers on all equipment following established procedures.
• Fix and repair equipment malfunctions using mechanical knowledge.
• Identify quality problems and work with teams to ensure product standards are met.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of supplies and parts, ordering replacements as needed.
• Assist with improvement projects and equipment installations with the engineering team.
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols, ensuring safe operation of equipment.
• Document all maintenance and repair work according to established procedures.
• Attend required training sessions to stay updated on new equipment and technologies.
