About the position

Logoplaste is currently seeking to recruit a Machine Operator to join the team in Lititz, PA (USA). The Machine Operator is responsible for operating site-specific equipment, particularly Blow Molding machines, and ensuring that all production, quality, and safety requirements are met. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the production process, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing operations. The Machine Operator will engage in various key tasks and activities, including the efficient operation of machines and associated equipment to produce plastic products according to specifications. This involves setting up and troubleshooting equipment and processes, performing material handling procedures, and assisting with mold changes as required. The operator will also be responsible for completing all necessary quality checks, systems checks, and production records accurately, ensuring that all documentation reflects the operational standards. In addition to these responsibilities, the Machine Operator will assist in machine start-ups and shut-downs, perform preventative maintenance on related equipment, and follow established quality procedures. Compliance with all company safety policies and procedures is essential, as is maintaining good housekeeping, GMP practices, and Global Food Safety Practices. The role may also include performing other job-related duties as assigned, and a knowledge of hand tools is beneficial for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Efficient operation of machines and other associated equipment to produce plastic products according to specification
  • Set up and troubleshoot equipment and processes
  • Perform material handling procedures as required
  • Perform and assist with mold changes as required
  • Complete all required quality checks, systems checks, production records and logs accurately
  • Assist in machine start-ups and shut-downs
  • Perform preventative maintenance on related equipment as required
  • Follow established quality procedures
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP Practices and Global Food Safety Practices
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role or experience working in a factory environment
  • Experience working as a craftsman
  • Previous work experience in the plastics industry is considered an advantage but is not a must
  • Warehouse knowledge and ability to drive a forklift
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, including MS Office
