DS Smith North America Packaging and Paper specializes in the manufacture of corrugated boxes, inner-packing, and Point of Purchase displays. We are currently seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our team in Winchester, VA. This full-time position offers competitive wages and benefits effective from the first day of employment, including a 401k plan with a 100% match up to 6%. The Machine Operator will work Monday through Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with the expectation of being available for overtime as needed. This role involves assisting in various areas of the production process, from assembly to machine assistance. The ideal candidate will be able to read order specifications, set up machines mechanically, and accurately enter information into the computer. Responsibilities also include manually feeding or stacking corrugated sheets or boxes and adhering to established procedures and rules. Maintaining a clean work area is also a critical part of this role. Physical requirements for this position include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive twisting, squatting, and kneeling for machine setup and cleanup, and stand for 8-10 hours a day. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
