The Machine Operator at Sonaca North America is responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines and conventional machines to fabricate parts. This role involves loading parts into machines, monitoring production runs, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The Machine Operator plays a crucial role in supporting the company's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Run production on CNC machining center
  • Check and monitor the parts that are being run
  • Read basic dimensions and tolerances of a blueprint
  • Ensure quality standards are being met
  • Produce the proper number of parts per machine cycle time
  • Deburr and blend all parts that are machined
  • Perform daily maintenance on machines including maintaining fluid levels and emptying chips
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Fill out and maintain paperwork properly
  • Ensure attendance and punctuality
  • High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred
  • Trade school for machining practices preferred
  • Math skills to perform basic calculations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Demonstrate attention to detail
  • Ability to read measuring equipment (Calipers/Micrometers)
  • Ability to concentrate and focus on details
