About the position

The Machine Operator position at Aerotek involves operating CNC machines to produce high-volume parts for firetrucks. The role requires setting up machines, inspecting parts for quality, and changing tooling as necessary. The operator will primarily work with materials such as iron, brass, and stainless steel, and will be responsible for ensuring that production meets quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Mills and Lathes
• Perform 2 to 3 setups per day
• Inspect parts for quality assurance
• Change out tooling as needed
• Select and run programs based on orders/diagrams

Requirements

• CNC operation and setup
• Blueprint reading
• Use of calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools
• Manual machining
• Knowledge of M code and G code
