About the position

The Machine Operator at Fresno Valves & Castings, Inc. is responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to process metallic and nonmetallic work pieces. This role supports the production team by ensuring that machines operate efficiently and safely, while adhering to quality standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Reads and studies blueprints, work orders, and plans for product specifications.
• Selects, positions, and secures tools in holder.
• Sets specific feeds, speeds, and depth of cuts.
• Controls valves to direct flow of coolant or cutting oil against tools/work pieces.
• Observes proper machine operation.
• Performs daily machine maintenance.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Performs routine inspections of completed pieces.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-year experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
