About the position
As a Machine Operator at Aerotek, you will be responsible for operating various machines and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role involves cross-training in multiple areas, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. You will be expected to monitor machine operations, load and unload materials, and perform housekeeping duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate drill presses, shear presses, punch presses, straightening presses, torches, overhead cranes, forklifts, Combi Lift, and saws.
- Load and unload machines as required.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure product quality throughout the process.
- Clean quench tanks and maintain clean work areas.
- Perform housekeeping and special cleanup duties as assigned.
- Use hand and power tools to assist in operations.
Requirements
- Experience operating various machines including presses and torches.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Familiarity with saw operations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor machine performance.
