About the position
The Machine Operator position at PrideStaff involves producing precision machined components for various industries. The role requires knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, and machining procedures, with a focus on quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial machine shop and be able to read blueprints and utilize CAM software effectively.
Responsibilities
- Utilize math to calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometers and optical comparators.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
- Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
- Read screw machine blueprint specifications.
- Set up, adjust, and use all basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variations of tools to perform precision machining operations.
- Wear all PPE and follow all safety guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working in a machine shop environment.
- Set up, interpret blueprints, and operate a screw machine.
- Previous screw or CAM machining experience required.
- Previous Escomatic screw machine experience required.
