  • Operators will lead in all aspects of operation of Press lines including changeovers, machine start-up, running and shut-down.
  • Support operations in becoming World Class in all aspects of the business, beginning with Safety.
  • Run all jobs in accordance with customer specification, manufacturing specification, print specification, color folders and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all appropriate paperwork is filled out accurately and completely.
  • Work with and direct the press assistant and pit crew to minimize job change-over and down time.
  • Train and direct the press assistant to become efficient at all the required assistant duties defined in each level of the assistant training matrix on time.
  • Comply with all 5S and WCM initiatives (Cross Training, moving to the work).
  • Able to navigate BMS and SOC System to verify machine set up and materials required to slit an order.
  • Operate both slitting and rewinding equipment in a safe manner.
  • Assure all jobs are run in accordance with all written manufacturing specifications including manufacturing packing specs, customer specs, and standard operating procedures.
  • Properly complete all paperwork including production reports, SOC reports, cleaning logs, QA reports, etc.
  • Enter accurate data into SAP.
  • Improve efficiencies with reduced returns & less waste.
  • Monitor product quality from press and slitting process.
  • Prepare Wax Coater Components; impression roller is correct by job size.
  • Verify Raw Material stock.
  • Understand customer requirements and maintain the quality of the order as it is running.
  • Establish run conditions and weights; run to established conditions once SOCs are set.
  • Facilitate and enforce all of the company policies and procedures as they are outlined and defined.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow customer specifications.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Must have basic computer skills to complete tasks in operator software.
  • Required to have visual acuity to perform visual inspection including the use of measurement devices and ability to identify and distinguish colors.
