About the position
The position involves operating manufacturing machines and completing production processes efficiently to produce quality products based on verbal or written instructions. The role requires accurate completion of all necessary paperwork and adherence to company safety rules and policies.
Responsibilities
- Review all job information, work instructions, and understand job requirements before running production.
- Complete the production tasks as required throughout the shift.
- Load and unload machines as necessary.
- Route, drill, deburr, scrape, flame, and assemble products as required.
- Pack and stack products according to the job information sheet.
- Complete visual inspections on the products being produced and notify the supervisor immediately if more than one part is nonconforming.
- Cut scrap into manageable pieces.
- Complete or assist in the teardown or job setup of production machines.
Requirements
- Good attendance and ability to follow instructions.
- Understanding of tools required to produce products.
- Ability to work independently or within a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to detect defects in products.
- Ability to operate machines and hand tools.
Nice-to-haves
- Basic math skills; ability to count, add, and subtract.
