About the position

As the Machine Packer at PAC Worldwide, you will play a crucial role in the production process by packing products off machines and into containers according to customer specifications. This position requires you to read and understand stacking diagrams to ensure that products are packed correctly while maintaining their integrity. You will be working the 2nd shift from 3 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday, and will receive paid breaks along with weekly pay. The starting pay rate for this position is $16.65 per hour, with an additional shift differential of $2.10 per hour. Your essential duties will include packing products off the machine per the orientation on stacking diagrams, ensuring that the carton quantity is correct, and that every carton is labeled appropriately. You will also be responsible for measuring and testing products for defects and quality, notifying the operator, and stopping machinery if necessary. It is important to maintain a pace that keeps up with machine throughput capabilities and to understand how to operate emergency stops (E-stops) while identifying safety-sensitive situations that may require their use. In addition to packing, you will assist the machine operator and other team members as needed, which may include stacking cartons, screening products, cleaning the work area, and setting up machinery. Attendance is crucial, and you must successfully complete new hire orientation and training to become proficient in packing at least one core product type based on company standards.
