About the position

The Machine Repair Support Specialist is responsible for troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems to ensure equipment availability and capability. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols when working with industrial equipment and may involve independent work as well as coaching others. The specialist will perform preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities while maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, assembles, installs, tests, and maintains mechanical systems using necessary tools.
• Learns and understands safety protocols for working with electricity and other energy sources.
• Works independently and instructs or coaches others as needed.
• Performs work according to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications.
• Documents preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent AND Associate's degree with two to four years of relevant experience OR Trade certificate with four years of relevant experience OR Six years of relevant experience OR Department of Labor certification.
• Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
• Ability to read hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical blueprints.
• Knowledge of CNC machines is preferred.
