About the position

The Machine Sales Associate at Yancey Bros. Co. is a developmental role designed to support the Sales Managers and Sales Representatives in enhancing sales administration and day-to-day operations. This position focuses on building strong relationships within the sales team to foster growth in territory PINS and maintain a robust retail presence. The role emphasizes skill development through mentorship and participation in various sales initiatives aimed at customer growth and market expansion.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sales Team in day-to-day operations to meet/exceed revenue targets.
• Participate in skill development through a sales rep mentor program (40% time).
• Assist Sales teams in daily tasks (20% time).
• Engage in special projects targeted towards market and segment growth within the region (20%).
• Support regions in customer prospecting to promote new customer growth (e.g., sales blitzes, conquest campaigns).
• Compile information to aid sales reps in value selling (V.E.T, Turbo, CAT Advantage, competitive comparisons).
• Participate in product training to build expertise on value selling of machines, attachments, and technology offerings.
• Maintain an excellent retail atmosphere for specific store locations in the assigned territory.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, Associate's Degree, or Technical School degree in a related field required.
• Equivalent sales and equipment experience can be substituted for formal education.
• High energy and excellent communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
• Skilled in basic computer applications - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Acrobat.
• Ability to communicate effectively through email and manage calendar functions.
• Effective use of Cat Systems or ability to learn.
