About the position
The Machine Sort Technician position at Ring Screw LLC is designed for mechanically inclined individuals who are eager to contribute to the Quick Changeover Pit Crew team. This role involves handling parts post-sorting, ensuring quality control, and maintaining an organized work environment. The technician will utilize computer software for product inspection and manage production changeovers, playing a crucial role in the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Use and modify computer software for automated inspection of products.
- Process paperwork and production using Acument's inventory control software.
- Manage machine production changeovers per documented procedures.
- Monitor and ensure daily quality control measures are met.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Handle and dump parts into the machine.
- Ensure machine and component parts are running properly.
- Weigh, stack, and move full boxes onto pallets.
- Maintain records, documents, and files as instructed.
- Move parts by hand truck or forklift if needed.
- Perform all other activities as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
- Flexibility to work in a variety of assignments.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and procedures.
- Ability to learn to use QA gaging and measuring instruments.
- Understanding of basic math skills.
- Ability to use a hand truck or forklift as required.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
