About the position

The Machine Sort Technician position at Acument Global Technologies is designed for mechanically inclined individuals who are eager to contribute to a team focused on continuous improvement. This role involves handling parts after sorting, ensuring quality control, and maintaining an organized work environment. The technician will play a vital role in the Quick Changeover Pit Crew team, utilizing computer software for product inspection and managing production changeovers.

Responsibilities

• Handle parts after they have been sorted before they are stored and shipped.
• Use and modify computer software for automated inspection of products.
• Process paperwork and production using Acument's inventory control software.
• Manage machine production changeovers per documented procedures.
• Monitor and ensure daily quality control measures are met.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Handle and dump parts into the machine.
• Ensure machine and component parts are running properly.
• Weigh, stack, and move full boxes onto pallets.
• Maintain records, documents, and files as instructed.
• Move parts by hand truck or forklift if needed.
• Perform all other activities as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

• Flexibility to work in a variety of assignments.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and procedures.
• Ability to learn to use QA gaging and measuring instruments.
• Understanding of basic math skills.
• Ability to use a hand truck or forklift as required.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
