About the position
The Machine Sort Technician position at Acument Global Technologies is designed for mechanically inclined individuals who are eager to contribute to a team focused on continuous improvement. This role involves handling parts after sorting, ensuring quality control, and maintaining an organized work environment. The technician will be integral to the Quick Changeover Pit Crew team, utilizing computer software for automated inspections and managing production processes.
Responsibilities
- Use and modify computer software for automated inspection of products.
- Process paperwork and production using Acument's inventory control software, including making labels and completing documentation.
- Manage machine production changeovers according to documented procedures.
- Monitor and ensure daily quality control measures are met.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Handle and dump parts into the machine.
- Ensure machine and component parts are running properly.
- Weigh, stack, and move full boxes onto pallets.
- Maintain records, documents, and files as instructed.
- Move parts by hand truck or forklift as needed.
- Perform all other activities as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
- Flexibility to work in a variety of assignments.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and procedures.
- Ability to learn to use QA gaging and measuring instruments.
- Understanding of basic math skills.
- Ability to use a hand truck or forklift as required.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
