About the position

The Machine Technician I is responsible for providing high-quality repair services on equipment to meet customer needs effectively and efficiently. This role involves working with various mechanical systems and components, ensuring safety and compliance with company policies, and completing necessary documentation accurately and timely.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics.
• Work safely and follow all WCAT safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete jobs accurately and timely.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Complete all Level I assigned training in a timely and proficient manner.

Requirements

• General knowledge of engines, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems and components.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software, and cranes and rigging equipment.
• Ability to provide accurate information to management for quoting.
• High school diploma or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training.
• Must be at least 21 to operate field vehicles.
• Successfully complete Work steps assessment.
• Certification prior to operating a forklift and/or man lift may be required.
• May require MSHA certification.
