About the position

The Machine Vision Senior Sales Engineer at Zebra Technologies is a remote position focused on transforming the industrial automation and manufacturing sectors through advanced machine vision technologies. This role involves leading technical pre-sales efforts, collaborating with sales teams, and providing tailored solutions to meet customer needs. Responsibilities

  • Own development and execution of technology strategy in collaboration with Account or Channel Management.
  • Design solutions that meet customer needs and outperform competition.
  • Develop strong relationships with sales teams, internal engineering, and key technical customer contacts to leverage Zebra's advantages.
  • Serve as a technical expert on machine vision product portfolio, providing detailed information to customers and channel partners.
  • Lead product demonstrations and presentations to showcase machine vision technologies.
  • Collaborate with sales team to develop technical proposals, specifications, and quotations for machine vision solutions.
  • Address customer inquiries related to product specifications, integration, and performance.
  • Provide training sessions to customers and channel partners on installation, operation, and maintenance of machine vision products.
  • Assist in developing training materials to enhance product knowledge among sales team and partners.
  • Communicate customer feedback and requirements to contribute to the improvement and development of machine vision products.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, events, and seminars, providing technical insights to potential customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related technical pre-sales role (Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, Application Engineer, Solution Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer).
  • 2+ years' experience with Machine Vision System-related products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Completion of the Certified Vision Professional (CVP) program via A3.
  • Experience with the Retail and/or Transportation & Logistics industries.
  • Sales experience and/or the ability to identify sales opportunities.
  • Advanced domain/solutions knowledge to competitive advantage.
  • Ability to develop and adapt advanced sales strategies to unique customer needs.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative pre-sales skills through communications and presentation delivery.
