About the position
The Machinery Control Systems (MCS)/Integrated Ship Control Systems (ISC) position at Solvere Technical Group involves supporting the operation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and assessment of shipboard control systems. The role requires a strong background in various control systems and the ability to work with advanced monitoring devices, ensuring the effective functioning of propulsion and auxiliary hardware.
Responsibilities
- Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain DDG MCS and/or CG ISC systems.
- Assess and ensure the functionality of shipboard control and monitoring devices.
- Troubleshoot propulsion and auxiliary hardware including transducers and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Utilize knowledge of Universal Engine Controllers and other related systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in operation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and assessment of DDG MCS and/or CG ISC systems.
- At least six (6) months' experience within the last twelve (12) months.
- Working knowledge of Universal Engine Controllers, Interim Integrated Electronic Controller, Engine Controllers, and other shipboard control systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot various hardware components related to propulsion and auxiliary systems.
- Must possess an Active DOD Secret security clearance.
