About the position
The CNC Lathe Machinist will be responsible for performing various machining tasks, including set-ups, working with aluminum and steel, maintaining tight tolerances, conducting quality control, and editing G-codes. The role requires proficiency in operating Fanuc and Siemens controls to ensure precision and efficiency in the machining process.
Responsibilities
- Perform 5-10 set-ups depending on the inventory sheet for the day.
- Work with aluminum and steel materials.
- Maintain tolerances ranging from .0002 to .002.
- Conduct quality control and tolerance testing.
- Write and edit G-codes.
- Operate and troubleshoot Fanuc and Siemens controls.
Requirements
- Proficiency with lathe operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience with G-codes, Fanuc, and Siemens controls.
- Competence in set-up, editing, and program editing.
- Skilled in using calipers and gauges.
