About the position

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. This position allows machining students to gain manufacturing experience while completing their two-year Machine Tool Technology degree. Interns will complete special project work support, learn to work on advanced equipment, and have the opportunity to run a variety of machines providing Graco machines unload. This position is on 2nd shift (Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm).

Responsibilities

  • Operate assigned machines within department.
  • Learn simple setups and troubleshooting while supervised by skilled Graco full-time machinists.
  • Check parts with hard gauging and CMM.
  • Perform periodic quality checks as described in operation layouts.
  • Package, wash, and deburr as described in operation layouts or otherwise directed by full-time Graco Machinist, Engineer, or Supervisor.
  • Keep a clean and organized work area.
  • Responsible for the quality of the parts they produce and follow all necessary inspection requirements.
  • Work as a team member to aid all shifts and support co-workers to operate to department expectations.
  • Focus on safety and follow all safety rules and requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Students must be enrolled in a two-year Machine Tool Technology program.
  • Student must be in good standing with the school if enrolled, maintaining a C average or better.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Comply with all safety rules and requirements.
