About the position
Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machinist to perform maintenance and repair on dies to ensure optimal production capability. The role requires proficiency with various machining tools and a strong understanding of safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform all necessary maintenance and repair to keep dies running at optimum production capability.
- Determine damage to existing tooling and identify necessary repair steps.
- Perform die changeovers for different products.
- Read blueprints and use measuring tools for checking dimensions.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- One to three years of manufacturing, design, tooling, and tool designing experience.
- Previous experience and/or education in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
- Experience working with machines including CNCs, lathes, mills, etc.
Nice-to-haves
- Good math skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to learn the operation of lathes, grinding machines, milling machines, drill presses, and surface grinders.
