About the position
The Machinist position at Sanmina Corporation involves operating and maintaining various types of manual, numerically controlled, and computerized machine shop equipment. The role requires precision in machining components from blueprints and sketches, ensuring adherence to specified tolerances, and participating in continuous improvement processes. The position is critical in supporting the manufacturing of high-quality components for various sectors, including industrial and clean technology.
Responsibilities
- Plan assignments and layout for machining tasks.
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machinery.
- Make tool adjustments as necessary for precision machining.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and process sheets.
- Select and acquire necessary tooling and gauges for setups.
- Build and position fixtures correctly for machining operations.
- Proofread programs and complete first part inspections.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Run multiple machines when required.
Requirements
- 5 years' experience in CNC Lathe Operations with Fanuc controls.
- 3 years' minimum experience in a job shop environment.
- Advanced knowledge of GD&T ASME Y14.5-2009.

- Ability to communicate directly with engineers regarding part assembly.
