About the position

MACNY, The Manufacturers Association, is seeking a talented Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support a broad range of initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in marketing and communications, along with a keen understanding of marketing best practices. This role requires strong writing and editing skills, as the candidate will be involved in various projects across multiple departments. The focus will be on email marketing, copywriting and editing, social media management, event support, and the production of association publications. The candidate will also be responsible for managing content across various platforms and supporting the development of marketing materials for different departments. The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will work collaboratively with colleagues to plan, coordinate, and deliver marketing initiatives. This includes executing marketing strategies for training events, copy editing and proofreading content, managing blogs, emails, and publications, and providing event support. The role also involves creating content for social media and assisting in the development of website content. The position is designed for someone who can handle multiple projects simultaneously and is detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience with digital content platforms, including content management systems and email marketing tools. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and CRM management is preferred, along with a willingness to learn new software and skills.

Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with colleagues on planning, coordination, and delivery of marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2+ years previous marketing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with content management, copywriting and editing, event coordination, digital marketing, and social media.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform as part of a small team with evolving directives.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient with digital content platforms such as content management systems and email marketing tools.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
  • Experience with CRM management is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn new software and skills.
