About the position

The Pharmacy Care Representative at H-E-B plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and patient care within the pharmacy environment. This part-time position involves working collaboratively with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure that patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently. The representative is responsible for various tasks, including processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and maintaining compliance with health regulations, all while fostering a welcoming atmosphere for customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and patient care in collaboration with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
• Process written prescriptions and refill requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Utilize the RXEVO system for managing prescriptions and customer transactions at the point of sale.
• Assist customers with inquiries and direct them to the appropriate resources, including pharmacist consultations.
• Participate in inventory management, including receiving and staging OTC inventory and ensuring proper stock levels.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and H-E-B standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist in professional services activities such as immunization scheduling and medication therapy management events.
• Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in retail; pharmacy experience is a plus.
• Completion of required training and certifications (e.g., PCR, RXEVO, HIPAA).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Mathematical skills for calculating measurements and handling cash transactions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little direct supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in pharmacy-related tasks and knowledge of H-E-B RXEVO system.
• PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office and H-E-B software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks.
