About the position
The Mail and Delivery Specialist is responsible for performing receipt, delivery, and mail functions for the campus, which includes the pickup, receipt, and delivery of stock, mail, and packages. This role requires operating various systems and software related to mail and package delivery, ensuring efficient and accurate service to the campus community.
Responsibilities
- Perform receipt, delivery, and mail functions for the campus.
- Pickup, receipt, and delivery of stock, mail, and packages.
- Operate metering systems and package tracking software.
- Ensure compliance with Dartmouth College Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Policy.
Requirements
- High School diploma plus 12 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a customer service oriented environment.
- Proficiency with email, Word, and Excel software.
- Ability to maintain a valid DOT card and pass the College driver safety course within 90 days.
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Knowledge of USPS codes and regulations.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.

Benefits
- Regular full-time employment with a 40-hour work week.
- Scheduled hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with Saturday rotation and mandatory overtime required.
