This role involves sorting, analyzing, and delivering mail to over 200 delivery points, contributing to the overall communication and operational efficiency of the medical center.

  • Sort all incoming, inter-office, and outgoing mail including telecommunications, medical records, and congressional mail.
  • Read and analyze incoming mail for proper routing to over 200 delivery points.
  • Pick up outgoing and interoffice mail, ensuring completeness of address and compliance with regulations.
  • Process all outgoing mail for accountability, including metering weight and postage.
  • Record all controlled mail such as express, registered, certified, and UPS parcels.
  • Sort incoming and outgoing mail into categories and maintain personnel and patient directories.
  • Use mail carts and cargo vans for mail delivery throughout the medical facility.
  • Assist in the reproduction and assembly of authorized materials and publications.
  • General experience in mail handling, sorting, and processing.
  • Education: Two years above high school or a combination of education and experience.
