About the position

The Mail Fraud Investigative Support Analyst ISA I-D role at KACE involves providing specialized investigative support for criminal and civil investigations within the Inspection Service field division. The position requires analytical skills to review business records, trace illegal activity, and prepare comprehensive reports. The analyst will also engage in data mining and research to identify fraudulent activities, ensuring timely dissemination of findings to relevant parties. This role is critical in supporting law enforcement efforts and requires a strong background in financial investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze business records to trace proceeds of illegal activity and prepare cash flow analysis.
  • Perform personal wealth analysis and related financial transactions, presenting findings in reports and presentations.
  • Data-mine Postal records and other databases to identify fraudulent activity and prepare reports documenting analytical results.
  • Complete assigned tasks to ensure timely support for criminal or civil investigations, assisting Postal Inspectors with intelligence development.
  • Document and report analytical results, creating graphic displays and reports that clearly represent the information analyzed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of five years investigative experience in complex financial investigations, particularly in areas like mail fraud and money laundering.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal statutes and rules of criminal and civil procedure.
  • Extensive experience in oral and written communication to explain research and analysis results clearly.
  • Proficiency in conducting research using the Internet and commercial/public databases.
  • Ability to analyze investigative results and present recommendations for further investigative action.
  • Experience in developing civil and/or criminal cases for prosecution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with investigative tools and methods such as I2 Analyst Notebook, PLX, and GIS mapping.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with document review platforms like Relativity, iConect, and Concordance.
  • Familiarity with bank account analysis software (CFIS).
