The Mail & Package Processor position at Princeton University is a part-time role located in the Mail Services student mail and package room at the Frist Campus Center. This position is primarily responsible for processing mail and packages for students, utilizing package lockers and the service window at the mail and package room. The role involves scanning or entering tracking numbers and matching recipients to student records in the database. Once processed, packages are either placed in lockers or on shelves for student collection. The position requires a strong focus on maintaining the integrity, accuracy, safety, and confidentiality of all mail handled by Mail Services, adhering to USPS mailing standards and internal protocols established by Princeton University. In addition to package processing, the Mail & Package Processor will handle various client inquiries related to mail and package delivery. Responsibilities include ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, as well as assisting with other duties at the Frist Campus Center as needed. This is a 10-month position, working 4 hours per day, 5 days a week, with anticipated workdays from Tuesday to Saturday, subject to change based on campus needs. The position is unionized, requiring membership in the Service Employees' International Union (SEIU) Local 175 within 30 days of employment.
