About the position
In this role, you'll work in one of our Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology. As a Chief Architect and Mainframe expert, you will analyze and assess the current environment, making strategic recommendations on redesigning from a Monoplex to a Sysplex processing environment. You will be responsible for developing detailed from-to architectural designs, building project plans, and leading the cross-functional team in implementation. This position requires a strong focus on client support and transformation, ensuring that the solutions provided meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and assess the current mainframe environment.
- Make strategic recommendations for redesigning from Monoplex to Sysplex processing environment.
- Develop detailed from-to architectural designs.
- Build project plans for implementation.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of architectural designs.
Requirements
- Expert Mainframe Architect delivering strong client support and transformations.
- Proven expertise in hardware configuration and SYSPLEX implementation.
- Experience in the installation of numerous software products.
- Senior z/OS programming support and consultation for related projects.
- Experience with hardware and software upgrades and migration.
- Knowledge of security and audit compliance to industry standards.
- Ability to perform system level problem determination and resolution.
- Experience in disaster planning and recovery.
