We're seeking a future team member for the role of Mainframe DB2 Database Administrator/Engineer to join our Technology Services Group (TSG) - Mainframe team. This role is preferred to be located in Lake Mary, FL or Pittsburgh, PA via hybrid in office work arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for administration, and evangelizing the culture, practices, processes, and tools that enable the business in the delivery of optimal services of Database development & maintenance - modernization/migration, and support/operation.
  • Manage the administration of z/OS Db2 databases including backups, statistics, reorgs, physical database design, and supporting application development and applications.
  • Perform z/OS Db2 database administration duties including problem resolution, SQL and database performance tuning, backups and recoveries, and disaster contingency testing.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements within the team in developing reports/tools to help manage and optimize the environments.
  • Support the investigating, analyzing, and resolving database incidents including performance bottlenecks and production batch incidents.

Requirements

  • College/Technical Degree with 8-10 years' technical experience with increasing responsibilities and knowledge and expertise.
  • Minimum 5 years of IBM Db2 Database Administrative Experience.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Db2 - SQL, Performance Management and Utilities for z/OS along with mainframe related tools such as BMC, Online performance monitoring tools, ISPF, SMS.
  • Strong execution mind-set to perform, manage and track progress against transformational goals.
  • Works collaboratively with other team and application developers and exhibit strong interpersonal skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; proven problem-solving skills; technical problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
