About the position

The Mainframe Developer role involves working on data validation and the decommissioning of mainframe files to support a system conversion to a new vendor, TPG. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure data integrity and successful transition processes, with a focus on maintaining mainframe operations until the go-live date in May 2025.

Responsibilities

• Perform data validation and comparison of files on the mainframe.
• Collaborate with downstream system groups to transmit and test data files.
• Work with the technical team to determine the timeline and methods for decommissioning mainframe files post-go-live.
• Support the setup of files on the mainframe for the system conversion.
• Assist in ensuring that all data files are ready for the transition to the new vendor.

Requirements

• Experience in data validation and comparison.
• Proficiency in IBM JCL and mainframe FOCUS.
• Familiarity with mainframe COBOL and the ability to read and interpret code.
• Senior-level experience in mainframe development or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Autosys transmissions.
• Knowledge of file comparisons using File Manager.
